Good things is an online shop that seeks out sustainable & ethical gifts, homeware, toys and accessories. Their business ethos is to find products that support charities, empower people and are kinder to the planet.
Lucy, who is originally from Devon, moved to Bristol a year ago. She signed up to North & East Bristol Enterprise Support with the need to grow and develop her business further. “I think cities are all about people. I’m new so I’m still finding my way and figuring it all out. Particularly through the pop-up shop, and with Get Social events hosted by NEBES, I have met so many amazing people who are doing similar things” said Lucy.
Lucy met with Business Advisor and Programme Manager, Sarah Ives, to discuss ways in which Lucy could grow her business. “I spoke with Sarah about opportunities to develop the business. Sarah was able to help me identify the Vacant Commercial Property Grant by Bristol City Council, and put me in touch with them to help set up my pop-up shop”
Sarah and Lucy were able to identify opportunities for Lucy’s business, including further developing the businesses existing sustainable strategy, through the Sustainable Impact Champion accreditation. Through a simple assessment, Lucy was able to diagnose her current strategy and look at options for improving her operations.
Sarah really helped me look at how to build on something that has already been successful. This is where the idea of the pop-up shop came about. I’m so excited for the launch!”
Good Things is launching their pop-up shop in The Galleries on Thursday 10th November and will be stocking hundreds of goods from purpose-driven organisations in the UK and around the world.
